Max Bertola - Director and President
(Park City, Utah)
Max's
dream has been to create an online learning experience that is
superior to what students get in a face-to-face classroom.
Since 1995, he has been developing the curriculum for his online
educational offerings. Max developed the first online
course offerings for Utah State University and Utah Valley
University.
Max holds a
Masters
of Science in English from Utah State University where he
graduated from the Technical Writing and Professional Communications Program.
He teaches three to four English composition courses a semester
at Utah Valley University where he developed an award winning
web-based composition program. In addition, Max was
awarded the "Teacher of the Year" in the English program our of
90+ instructors.
Max
also has taught for the past 4 years at the Corrections Academy
for the Utah Deparment of Corrections where he instructs new
officers the skills needed to write quality reports. At
the Department of Corrections, he spent time with the inmates
developing an Inmate-to-Inmate literacy program where inmates
taught other inmates basic reading, writing, and comprehension
skills. Utah Governor Mike Leavitt presented Max a Medal
of Commendation for Max's work in developing this innovative
program.
Over the past six years, Max has developed the iInstructor
Virtual Classroom technology as well as developed all of the
student tracking software, course management software, and he
has overseen all of the curriculum development for the school

Lance - Manager of Operations and Student Support Services
(Keokuk, Iowa)
Lance attended Utah Valley University where he specialized in
Organizational Implementation of Technology. He is a technology
guru and understands how to manage an operation using state-of-the-art
technology. He also has developed the majority of our computer
science offerings.
Lance and his wife and son live just fifteen minutes outside of
Nauvoo, Illinois. He is able to manage the operations of our
school through the use of advanced video conferencing software that
allows him to virtually be in our offices.

Shane - Manager of Finances and Student Admissions
(Orem, Utah)
Shane attended Brigham Young University with his focus on Business
Finance and Strategy. He manages the online databases tracking our
prospective students. He has also worked in developing our Adult
High School offerings.

Wendy - Admissions Specialist and Student Support Services
(Orem, Utah)
Wendy has been called the "heart" of student support. She works
to assist parents in getting their students enrolled in just the right
courses. She also staffs the live support chat line. She
says she just loves her job and enjoys getting to know all of the
parents and students.

Ayisha - Student Support Services Specialist
(Orem, Utah)
Ayisha is brilliant and answers course questions posed by students
and parents through our live support chat or by phone.
Ayesha is attending Utah Valley University where she has earned her
associates and is continuing to further her education.

Mari - Admissions and Curriculum Specialist
(Park City, Utah)
Mari handles general admissions and support questions for the school.
She also is responsible for the admissions for our elementary and junior
high offerings. Also, Mari handles all of the graphic design needs of
the school.
Mari attended Utah Valley University where she specialized in
graphics design.
Mari is a mother of nine and a grandmother of nine.

Mike - Instructor Social Studies (High School Certified)
(Orem, Utah)
Mike teaches full-time at Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah.
He is state certified in the social sciences that includes history,
world history, geography, civics and government, sociology, and
psychology.
Mike develops curriculum and works to answer student questions.

Bob - Instructor Foreign Language - Spanish (High School Certified)
(Orem, Utah)
Bob has his Masters in Education and teaches Spanish at a local
charter school.
Bob has worked diligently to provide an aggressive and engaging
Spanish curriculum.

Stephen - Instructor English (High School Certified)
(Thousand Oaks, California)
Stephen holds his Masters in Education from Mt. St. Mary's College in
Los Angeles, and go his B.A. with a secondary teaching certificate
from Gonzaga University. He specializes in Speech, Philosophy, and
Critical Thinking.

(San Antonio, Texas)
Claire is key in or organization to overviewing curriculum -
specifically the elementary and junior high programs.

Ben - Information Technology
(Portland, Oregon)
Ben has been with us since the start in 1995. He has his degree
in Computer Science and specializes in Java programming developing all
of our database programs. Everything dealing with our virtual
classroom, student tracking, and live support systems has been overseen
by Ben.

Patti - Instructional Design
(Manti, Utah)
Patti has her degree in Instructional Design and has developed our
Elementary and High School offerings. She has years of experience
developing integrated and engaging curriculum.
